For courses where SATAC considers results, your will be based on your . SATAC will use the GPA from any higher education course in which you were enrolled for the equivalent of one full-time semester or more (0.5 FTE).

Calculating a Grade Point Average (GPA)

For students currently enrolled in a higher education course, your GPA will include results up to and including the most recently completed semester. Results from later study periods are usually not included, which may affect students studying summer school or through Open Universities Australia (OUA).

For most courses, your higher education GPA is calculated from studies equivalent to one full-time semester or more (0.5 FTE). Shorter studies cannot be used to calculate a GPA. If you have attempted more than one higher education course, SATAC will consider the GPA from each course separately. 

There are exceptions to how Higher Education studies are considered for entry to specific courses. Check the Admission Criteria in Course Search for each course to see how your previous studies may be assessed.

Higher education study overseas

SATAC will assess higher education study completed overseas using guidelines agreed upon by our participating . These guidelines determine your to apply with results from your overseas study.
