The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) Student Outcomes Survey findings in 2023 showed that 90.3% of TAFE SA graduates were satisfied with the overall quality of their training. Nationally, this compared to 89.0% across all TAFE Institutes and 89.0% across all VET providers. In addition, 86.0% of TAFE SA graduates achieved their main reason for doing the training, compared to 86.6% across all TAFE institutes and 84.6% across all VET providers.

You can access a range of vocational education and training courses and degrees at TAFE SA. Each course may have particular admission criteria you need to meet.

Many Certificates I to Advanced Diploma have no entry requirements. If you wish to access subsidised training, you will need to complete the Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills (LLND) Assessment.

You might think you have to follow a certain path to study at university, but there is another way. TAFE SA offers a range of dual offer courses in partnership with South Australian public universities.

With a dual offer course, you can apply for both the TAFE SA and university qualifications at the same time. This means that once you complete your TAFE SA course successfully, you have guaranteed entry – with credit – into university.

Studying a dual offer course is a great way to set yourself apart from other graduates. You will benefit from TAFE SA's vocational experience and insights, as well as graduating with two qualifications instead of one.

TAFE SA offers dual award partnership degrees in Creative Arts with Flinders University, where students gain two qualifications at once. You will study across both TAFE SA and Flinders University, giving you the benefits of both institutions.

Gaining university credit for the related study you have undertaken at TAFE SA can reduce the time and fees usually required to complete a Bachelor degree.

To claim credit, you must formally apply to the university in accordance with their processes.

Being eligible for credit does not guarantee that you will be offered a place in a university program. Credit will normally be granted after you have been offered a place.

To apply for a TAFE SA pathway course you will need to apply through SATAC.

Depending on the course, it might be an undergraduate application or a TAFE SA application. TAFE SA applications are submitted separately.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff can help you find the most up-to-date, accurate and detailed information available, and computing and printing facilities and multimedia equipment assist you in producing your assignments and class presentations.

ICT Support

TAFE SA provides a variety of ICT systems to support learning from home or on campus. Students can use their own portable devices including laptops, tablets and mobile phones, while on campus by connecting to the TAFE SA Wi-Fi and accessing key systems through the TAFE SA Portal.

Disability Access & Inclusion

Student Services provides support to assist students living with disabilities, mental health or medical conditions to achieve their learning goals. TAFE SA's staff are available to confidentially discuss support at any stage during your studies. Their services are provided free of charge.

Childcare
