Applicant types

If you are unsure which type of applicant you are Contact SATAC for advice. 

International Year 12 student

You are a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and are completing an Australian Year 12 program (or the in Australia) before starting tertiary study.

These include applicants who do not hold: 

  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship

  • Permanent residency status for Australia

  • An Australian permanent humanitarian visa

Apply through SATAC as an International Year 12 applicant.

Other international applicant

You are a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and have not recently completed Year 12 or an overseas equivalent.

⚠   You will need to apply directly to the institution. SATAC does not accept these applications.

Domestic applicant with overseas study

You are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a permanent resident, and have completed an equivalent Australian Year 12 qualification, or vocational education and training certificates/diplomas, or studies.

You are considered a domestic applicant. 

Apply through SATAC and indicate your overseas qualifications when prompted.
