Don't miss out – 2026 tertiary education applications are live across the country

25 Sep 2025

With 2026 courses now available, Year 12 students are taking a closer look at their future study options.

The Australasian Conference of Tertiary Admissions Centres (ACTAC), which brings together all Australian tertiary admissions centres, is encouraging undergraduate applicants to apply now.

Each year, the members of ACTAC collaborate to deliver Australia’s national tertiary admissions system, providing opportunities for school leavers and those wanting to upskill to access study options across the country.

In many states and territories, lower processing charges are in place until the end of September.

ACTAC Chair Teresa Tjia encourages applicants to apply now to avoid the fee increase, advising that “even if applicants are unsure about their plans, applying now keeps their options open. Course preferences can also be changed later, as students become more certain of their path or after results are released.*”

So far, more than 136,000 Year 12 students across Australia have applied for tertiary study in 2026.

With their application submitted, these students can now focus on their end-of-year preparations and exams – and we wish them every success.

* Students should check course prerequisites and early course closing dates.
