Year 12 and higher education study

Your ability to use your Year 12 results when applying for courses may depend on whether you have completed any study.

  • If you have completed Year 12 and you have never studied at higher education (e.g. university) level, you are to apply to most courses.
  • If you have completed Year 12, but have also studied at higher education level, your will depend on how much higher education level study you have done. 

Check the rules in Course Search and on each ’s website to confirm whether you meet the specific requirements for your chosen course(s).

Some , such as Eynesbury, Tabor College and Torrens University, will use your Year 12 results regardless of how much higher education study you have completed. Some may also consider completion of Year 11 or Year 12 (or an equivalent qualification).
 

Highly

For some highly competitive courses, such as Medicine and Dentistry, admission requirements may differ, particularly if you have undertaken higher education study after Year 12. Please use Course Search or check the relevant institution’s website to confirm your eligibility.
