SATAC assesses applicants for the Adelaide University Access Scholarship.
You can apply for this scholarship through SATAC if you:
Applicants who are continuing their study from previous semesters, undertaking postgraduate or online study, or applying as international students should contact the university directly for advice.
Visit Adelaide University for more information about the scholarship.
As there may be more applicants than scholarships, meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee a scholarship.
SATAC uses Adelaide University’s selection criteria to determine the ranking order.
Check the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website for information about scholarships and tax. The website includes a tool to help you check whether your scholarship is tax exempt.
For further information, contact the ATO enquiry line on 13 28 61.
Adelaide University offers a range of scholarships and grants to First Nations students. Visit Adelaide University for more information about these scholarships.
SATAC's other participating institutions also offer a range of scholarships and grants for First Nations students. Before the census date, contact SATAC for advice. After the census date, contact the Adelaide University scholarships office for information.
You will need your SATAC undergraduate application reference number to start your application. This can be found in your offer letter or in mySATAC.
If you receive a Commonwealth means-tested income support payment, you will need either:
The CRN or DVA file number must be your own, not your parent's or partner's.
If you do not receive a Commonwealth means-tested support payment, you will need the names, dates of birth and income details for the last two financial years for all family members (including partners) in your household.
You must complete and save all sections listed in black in the left-hand menu of your application. Once every section shows a green tick or circle, the ‘Submit’ button will become active.
Yes. You will receive an acknowledgement email for your Equity Scholarship application. If you do not receive it within two days, please contact SATAC.
If your circumstances or contact details have changed, you will need to update them. To access your application, go to My Application and log in.
If your name is incorrect or has changed, email SATAC or submit an online enquiry form. Be sure to include your SATAC Equity Scholarships reference number in your message.
If you applied for a Centrelink benefit after submitting your application, you can add your CRN or DVA file number by logging in to your application.
If your CRN, DVA file number or income information is incorrect, you can change it online.
If your circumstances or details change after the census date or after receiving a scholarship, contact Adelaide University.
If you do not have any recent correspondence from Centrelink, you will need to contact them to get your CRN.
A means-tested Centrelink payment is one that is subject to an income and assets test (e.g. Youth Allowance). Common payments are listed in the table below.
Notes:
SATAC uses your Centrelink data to check eligibility for Equity Scholarships. We will not access, use, change, disclose or keep information or data about any Centrelink customer (including the Customer Reference Number or CRN) except as required to perform our official duties in assessing scholarship eligibility.
SATAC will only request data from Centrelink if you consent to us doing so in your application. If you do not provide consent, you will need to provide income history documentation.
Contact Centrelink for information about applying for a Centrelink benefit.
If you receive a Commonwealth means-tested income support payment, you won't need to provide information about your income history.
